Fashion, Floral & Feminism.
All fashion bloggers are not created equal. In fact, by virtue, each blogger putting their own style & fashion take out there to the world is carving out their own fab little corner of the internet. We’ve looked at quite a few women here on the blog, each with unique personalities, and today’s blogger spotlight is no different.
This vivacious blogger goes by Coatlicue Fatale, and she writes the blog Alla Cuelga MI Vestido (Dress Hangs There). She describes herself as “a single young lady that enjoys thrift store shopping, watching classic Hollywood movies (U.S. and Mexico), reading about feminism and Frida Kahlo, I also enjoy a protest here and there.” Her outfits reflect her personal style, punctuated with quirky thrifted pieces.
She combines this floral blouse from Thrift Town with other thrifted pieces and accessories from other stores. Many of her outfit posts are peppered with Thrift Town finds, all of which have a lot of personality and help her look great & express her style without breaking the bank.
Vintage treasures are a perk of thrifting - here she found some awesome vintage 60′s mustard colored heels, and a few clutches. Each of these pieces will work perfectly with her own personal aesthetic. That’s something I absolutely love about thrifting - you’re not limited to what advertisers & corporate buyers in the fashion industry are telling you is in style right this second. You can approach your secondhand style with oomph and pizzaz - uniquely embrace vintage styles or do it up modern, it’s up to you what you choose to put together & put out there to the world. Thanks to our vintage thrifty fashionista for her flair & fun.

I am glad to be one of many visitors on this outstanding site (:, thanks for putting up.
Sexy lingerie and work out clothing are really good finds at Thrift Town in Carmichael. I for one have a large bust line and rarely can I find my size available even in Macy’s but I have found it at Thrift Town and the matching panties as well in my size. I am not sure why this happens but the items are brand new and cost me only 1.99 each piece. I have been very lucky to find work out clothes as well for such a great price and in excellent to almost new condition. I actually get an urge to go to Thrift Town just to see what is new. I have decorated my home with famous artists (Renoir,Degas, and P.Sezanne) prints already framed and have bought furniture as well for my place that was very bare after moving to California from Hawaii. I bought large comforters, lamps, bookshelves, fine Noritake China and much of my Christmas decorations there too.
The best out fit I have put together with finds at Thrift Town though has been an outfit I wore for New Years Eve. It was a plum colored Satin Camisole type top with a pair of “Guess Jeans” brand black tuxedo striped cropped pants with satin buttons and a pair of Carlos Santana brand High Heels. I must have paid about $12-15 for the whole outfit, but I think I looked like a wealthy woman that night!
Hi Kari,
I am a HUGE Thrift Town fan.
My blog is mostly about thrifty resale finds, much of which I find at Thrift Town.
I’d love to submit an outfit (or 20!) to you that is Thrift Town based.
Not sure how to get a hold of you to do so.
Shoot me an email if you can.
Thanks!!
Stephanie
