Got an accessory dog or live in a cold part of the country? Check out this cute way to fight Fido’s shivers or just play dress up by turning a used baby onsie into an adorable shirt for your pup with a simple snip and fabric adhesive. Compare this less than a buck option to what dog clothing costs at a retail pet store, and you too will be packing up your pooch and heading to the nearest Thrift Town in search of the perfect option for your pet. Cuteness alert…the adorable factor is very high in the baby department!

I found all of these options at my local Thrift Town. All were under a buck. Tip: shop Thrift Town’s color tag of the week sale and enjoy an extra 50% off their already crazy low prices!

Needed Supplies: Adorable baby onsie, scissors, fabric adhesive

Steps:

1. Measure how long you wish for your doggie tee to be, and mark where you wish to cut.

2. Cut all the way across the onsie along your marked spot, effectively removing the entire bottom half of the onsie (snapped bottom section).

3. Turn what’s left of the onsie inside-out.

4. If you wish, you can make a hem using permanent adhesive tape by laying down a layer of tape on each side (front and back) and folding a layer of fabric over the top so you don’t get any fur stuck in the adhesive tape.

5. Turn right-side out, put dog paws through the arm holes and be prepared for some serious cuteness!
