Being on TV each week can put pressure on someone’s wardrobe. Everyone wants to put their best foot forward, but I gotta say, since I started my Thrifty Thursday segment each week on Good Day Sacramento over a year ago, it’s warped me a bit as far as retail prices go. I step into high end fashion stores and cringe at the prices. Though technically I could afford the ridiculously suggested prices of these articles of clothing, I feel sick to my stomach at the thought of paying that much for an outfit. I decided to see if I could find high end fashion options to add to my wardrobe at Thrift Town.

Recently we filmed a Good Day Sacramento segment at my home. The segment itself had absolutely nothing to do with my home, other than it is the place where my daughter and her BFF Sydney film their Thrifty Tween Styles video blog, which Good Day Sacramento wanted to feature for a Back to School fashion piece on tweens. As soon as the host of the show walked in, she complimented me on the decor and immediately asked for a tour. I was happy to oblige and show off my style, as many of my most treasured pieces were Thrift Town finds I’ve been collecting since they became my client two years ago. She was shocked at how amazing these pieces look in their new home, and said we need to do a segment on my decor. I agreed, but decided to do a little blogging on them first.

It’s time to upgrade my handbag. As cute and adorable as this teeny tiny purse is, I am sick of searching and digging for my various cards, driver’s license, etc. I did a little research online on what the hot fashion trends are this fall for handbags. Two things stood out, gray is the new neutral for fall, and purses can serve as your pop of color in your fall outfit since hot clothing colors for fall are black, white, and gray. Armed with my fashion info, off to Thrift Town I go!
