Dear Thrift Town,

I just wanted to write and say thank you. Shopping at your stores has always been positive, but my experience the other day was especially meaningful. I have a younger sister in her twenties who has special needs. She has a great school, works a job 2 days a week, and is part of a bowling league. Also, she is the light of our lives.

My husband and I help take care of her, and money is almost always tight. She is a larger size, and buying clothes at department stores is so expensive. For her bowling league tournament, she needed a white polo and khaki pants.

My mom took her to a department store, and found what we needed. Sister’s hard-earned $50 later, we had two items.

Mom called and asked if maybe I could take her out to Thrift Town to see if a suitable cheaper replacement for the expensive new purchases could be found. Sister had been saving her money from her job, and wanted to still spend the $50, but be able to have some additional cute clothes…. And you wouldn’t believe what we got for $50!!

We struck gold: the Veteran’s Day Sale made every clothing purchase 30% off!
The employees were so sweet and helpful, and my sister was just beaming with every new top and sweater she tried on. The prices were already great — many of the shirts marked at $1.99 (instead of $20!) and then we had the discount too!

For $50.00 we got her 10 tops/blouses, 3 nice sweaters & hoodies, and 2 pairs of pants.

We may have shed a tear or two as she modeled her cute new outfits… We as a family obviously care about people with special needs, and it means a lot to us that you as a company do as well. Thanks for everything you do in our community and the others your stores service.
