Happy Thursday, Thrift lovers!
If you weren’t aware, we have an ongoing contest here at Thrift Town called “What A Find”. Quarterly, we pick the best entries we receive from you, our customers, from a number of categories, and they win a gift card to our stores. Well, it’s that time again, and we’ve chosen our winners from the entries we’ve received. Without further ado, here’s a look at our winners!

BEST COLLECTIBLE
Angela N from Arlington Texas
While shopping at Thrift Town in Arlington, TX, I came across a Gucci handbag mixed in with the other purses! What a score! It was in great condition, too. It was $6.99 but I used a $3 off $10 coupon for it and a nice lampshade and a sweatshirt.
I usually stop by the store once a week to see what new items have arrived.
I also like to re-purpose old furniture.

BEST FASHION
Karen G from San Leandro
My daughter was having a week of different themes at her school and she needed a eighties outfit and a guys outfit. I lost my job in Nov. So I knew the place to go. We went to the San Leandro Thrift Town. First I found cute leg warmers at $1.99 and a New top with the store tags still on it for $7.99. I found heart tennis shoes for $1.99 and a tank Top for 99 cents. The last item were these blue jeans for $1.99.
Next was the guys outfit. We found a baseball cap with Flames on it for $3.99 ,T-shirt for $1.99 and boxers for 99 cents.
I was able to use my super shopper card so I received $10.00 off the total. I paid less than $15.00 for both outfits! Thrift Town saved the day and my wallet.

BEST FURNITURE
Reshma R, from Dublin, CA
I was looking for a table which would gel well the ethnic look of the peacock feather collection I had. I was just not happy with anything I was getting in the stores. I decided to try out the Thrift store. I am a VIP member and a big fan of really great finds you come across here. As soon as I see this intricately carved table, I had to pick it up and my living room corner looks just great now. People have been asking me where I cud find such a unique table!
Store Location : Blacow Road, Fremont, CA
Cost: Only $24.99 Wow!!

BEST DIY PROJECT
Jennifer G, from Manteca California
I purchased this adorable roll-top desk from a Thrift Shop. I paid only $19 for it (plus tax) and was amazed at the bargain. There were very few nicks and dings in the piece; the roll-top itself was in perfect condition. I used an electric sander to take the finish off of the areas I knew I wanted to stain.
{BEFORE}
I used some black paint I already had and purchased a small can of stain for $6.
{AFTER!}
All in all, I have roughly $25 invested in the desk. This piece turned out better than expected and now sits prominently in our living room. I am absolutely a Thrift Store convert.

BEST SEASONAL FIND
Tami A, from Ione California
I believe I have created something special with second-hand items from the El Camino Thrift Town store in Sacramento, California. This is my long-haired guinea pig, Stella.
She is sitting in a small ceramic pot with a yellow duck on the front. She is surrounded by a bunny garland and she is wearing the bunny ears originally worn by a teddy bear. Total Thrift Town purchase cost: $2.00 (not including guinea pig!).
