AFFORDABLE ADORABLE

When it comes to clothes, the fabrics used in baby items are so soft and cuddly, and the sweet little bows & polka dots are just too cute! Of course, the bright red fire trucks and big green dinosaurs are also quite hard to resist. Honestly, whether we are talking baby boys or baby girls, shopping for baby clothes is so darn fun! Everything is so miniature and adorable, and each little outfit has its own little personality all wrapped up and woven right into the threads.
I have always loved shopping for baby clothes at Thrift Town. When I was a little girl, I used to pick out so many cute clothes & blankets for my dolls. I remember how real my ‘babies’ felt in real baby clothes – especially gently used baby clothes that had that built in cuddle factor already worn in. When I was a young mom, Thrift Town always kept my own babies outfitted in all the best looks for way less.
And now, a mother of teenagers, I still find myself gravitating to the babies department every time I am in any of our Thrift Town stores. Thankfully, I have friends and family who are having babies, so I may indulge my love for baby clothes while shopping for gifts. Once you pick out a bundle of baby clothes from Thrift Town, get a box of Dreft laundry detergent - baby friendly, to have all your like-new ensembles ready for wear by your bundle of joy.
Babies are cute and fun to shop for, it’s true. But it can suck the fun right out of it when you spend $20 on a baby gift and only have 2 items to show for it. It is so much more affordable to welcome precious little ones to the world with a gift of love from Thrift Town. When they’re so young, babies grow so fast that often times, even the most fashion loving mom can’t put them in every cute tiny outfit they got at their baby showers. You hit the 6 month mark and have a bunch of 0-5 month old clothes that have been worn only a couple times if at all. The reasonable response to too small baby clothes overload: donate! In fact, I have found most of our baby clothes at Thrift Town seem almost brand new, many name-brand items still with tags on them from expensive department stores.
The average price of our soft, gently-used baby clothes is usually between .49 cents to $1.49 – amazing!
Because you’re not spending upwards of $10 on ONE item for a tiny little person, you can get more pieces, and more variety!
Name brands, shoes, hats, you name it - all still beyond reasonable compared to department stores.
If you feel like getting creative, you can grab a little basket from our housewares department,
fill it with baby clothes and add a few little classic baby books, and maybe a blanket or stuffed animal, and you have a beautiful gift!
I just put this thrifted baby basket together for a dear friend, and the entire basket ended up being less than $20!
You don’t need a baby shower invite - if you know someone with a baby, head over to our baby department and have fun!
Giving the adorable little clothes can sometimes put a little twinkle in your eye. ;0)

I love you baby clothes section! Great prices and I always walk out with something for my little boy.
With ridiculous prices for outfits that will be outgrown in about 3 months, I have outfitted my 2 children in thrifted clothes. Yes, often there are brand new items with retail tags still on them. Plus, baby clothes don’t get a lot of active wear, just stains. This is the smartest way to go! I’ve already begun thrifted Christmas shopping for my 2 bundles of joy and it’s summer!
