Happy Thursday Thrift Fans!
————–———AND THE WINNERS ARE ———–————-
BEST Housewares : Crystal C., Austin Texas
and my rocks from my adventures in Austin. I paid around seven dollars
for everything because I had a coupon and purchased a few other items.
We’d like to think that Thrift Town puts the FUN back in Functional. Finding great housewares
is such a gratifying thing. A great price & value on something you need = the best. Enjoy!

BEST Collectibles Winner: Jessica R., Utah
Sometimes it’s about more than just finding a cool item at a great price. For one customer, finding a painting was symbolic of getting through a rough time.
“When I first saw this portrait I became obsessed. I had to have it, but my family has been in a financial dilemma going through a Child Custody case, where we had to pay over $28,000.00 in Attorney’s fees. This portrait spoke to me in that tough time, I sincerely thought that this was the angel meant to look out for us.”“The asking price was $59.99 and I patiently waited for the pink color tag to go on sale. 6 weeks later when the doors opened I made a beeline for the painting, now with a pink tag - and this beautiful picture is MINE, ALL MINE! (For $30 instead of $60) I love it. We won the court battle and the angel in this portrait looks over us everyday in our home. THANK YOU THRIFT TOWN!”
BEST DIY: Patricia M.
If you don’t have kids, it’s likely that you probably skip the toy section when shopping at Thrift Town. But one customer makes toys a priority, because she finds, purchases and gives new life to dolls!
She bought all the pieces to this at our store and repainted the Wink Doll.
The doll’s straight hair was redone to make it more of a tigress. So very creative!
BEST FASHION FIND: Martha A. Coppell Texas
Our Best Fashion winner this quarter is a grandmother who lost her job and loves getting our coupons in her inbox to shop for her house and granddaughter.
Best Bargain Winner: Lori B., Austin, TX
I spotted 5 pairs of Waterford Millennium flutes at the Austin Thrift Town late last week while Christmas shopping. I already had part of the collection, and this was quite a find at 99.99 a pair.
I waited until the following Monday to purchase them 50% off. I was second in line and 4 pairs were left. I had a great time swapping Thrift Town stories with the gentleman ahead of me (who bought a pair for his brother who also collects). These flutes were retired in 2000, and retail for about almost 150.00 a pair. I got three pairs for 150.00! (And got to use my Thriftmas coupon, too!) Love my Thrift Town finds!
