POPULAR TODDLER CHARACTER GIFTS
DOC McSTUFFINS GIFT SET
For most adults, when receiving or giving a gift, it’s the thought that counts,
but for toddlers, notsomuch. Little ones are unfiltered and get pretty attached
to the characters in the cartoons they love. My daughter REALLY likes the show
Doc McStuffins, and I recently *scored* at Thrift Town on the toddler front.
This foot-tall embossed board book was brand new with the stickers still on it, but I got it
for $1.99. Online prices range from $13.00- $33.00, so however you slice it, I got a major
deal. It features scenes from the show, as well as being an interactive activity book.
My very next trip to Thrift Town I found this new Doc McStuffins doll for $1.99
- my daughter shrieked and clutched her to her chest til we got home, where she
enjoys the good life of sleeping, eating and playing with Olive all day every day.
This isn’t the “Lammie” from the show, but this $0.49 Lamb puppet is still similar enough
that Olive enjoys playing with it alongside her Doc doll and doesn’t mind that it’s generic.
A friend got her the actual Lammie from the show and we sit in her glider in her room and
read through the activity book all together. Also, the cozy hand-crocheted pink blanket and
the perfect peach lampshade? Both $2.99 at Thrift Town. Practically everything awesome
in our house is thrifted, and I love that that doesn’t mean my kid has to miss out on fun
current pop-culture toys.
If a rad little kid in your life has a certain show obsession, keep an eye out at Thrift
Town and start collecting - for a fraction of the big box retail price you can put
together an awesome gift that they’ll love.
Happy thrifting and gifting! – Olive & Kari
