MAYDAY: mad hattery

LADIES WHO LUNCH.

My mom was hosting a small ladies luncheon, and wanted a fun activity for all the ladies to do together. She decided that decorating summer sun hats would be a great craft to accompany their lunch. Instructions: bring a sun hat to decorate, and she (we) would provide the decorations.

So of course, we went to Thrift Town. Here was my hat
(which I think is pretty cute all on it’s own). It was $2.99.

Then we rounded up a cornucopia of silk flowers, ribbons, beads, do-dads etc. from Thrift Town for the ladies to add to their hats. Break out the hot glue guns, and we had a lovely time, with each hat very different than the next.

They all looked so cute and had a great time! How do you luncheon? 🙂
