Barbara is proud to call herself a "junker". She worked in a church office for 18 years and every day (M-F) she stopped at a thrift store including our first store in San Lorenzo. Barbara can still tell you where every piece came from and what she paid for it. Pretty amazing since she has so much stuff, but I'd hardly call it junk.

Barbara has collections from vintage Santas and Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls (as shown here) to depression glass and blue and white china collected piece by piece. Aside from collecting, Barbara also loves to decorate with thrift store finds such as flower arrangements, odds and ends, and she even buys all her yarn secondhand and knits afgans! Take my word, her home decorations and collections are absolutely incredible.

Needless to say, our customer Barbara loves the challenge of finding just the right thing. She got started "junking" to save money. Now that she is retired for almost three years she says, "If I did not have this hobby, I don't know what I'd do with my extra time." Well, I'm sure we could all agree that we're glad she spends some time with us here at Thrift Town.
