Thank you to everyone for participating! You are all fantastic!

1st Place $100 Thrift Town Gift Card!
I'm a regular customer of the Thrift Town on 17th and Mission in San Francisco and I love to make costumes from things I find there. I attend a lot of costume parties, so I'm constantly stopping in at TT to see what new goodies I can use. I made the two dresses out of big rolls of mylar ribbon I found in the bric-a-brac section, sewn on to dresses found in the clothing section. The "christmas present" costume has accents from Thrift Town Christmas decorations, and the umbrella and petticoat worn with the pink ball gown were also found at Thrift Town.

Can't wait to see what I'll find next! Cheers,Jessica

2nd Place $50 Thrift Town Gift Card!
I am always scouring the shelves of my local Thrift Town for useable clothing and materials in need of new life. I create vintage and recycled textile accessories, like tote bags, zipper pouches, and headbands. I also screen print reclaimed baby clothing. Some of my work can be seen here... http://flickr..com/SeedlingTextiles

I found this adorable vintage baby body suit and instantly knew that it would make a perfect Ernie costume!  I made the hat out of new fleece (so that it would be extra soft and comfy for baby) and used felt scraps to make the eyes and nose.  My nephew is happily modeling. He's a big Sesame Street fan!”

Thanks for your time...-Sara

3rd Place $25 Thrift Town Gift Card!
Thrift Town is our favorite store! My Son has a fascination with 'the Borg' from Star Treck. He has an autism spectrum disorder and has very unique ideas for Halloween costumes. Also if they are not accurate he will not wear them. I made this authentic looking Borg costume by buying 2 parts of other costumes at Thrift Town, and the undersuit. Then painted it all black. He scared a few people for sure! And was loved by Treckies everywhere! He had fun saying "resistance is futile, you will be assimilated" Instead of "trick or treat".

Thanks, Alisa
