Before, During & After

Breathe new life into vintage linens and everyday sheets! Make a Duvet...

DIRECTIONS:
1.
Lay out larger of the two linens on the bottom, good side face up.
2. Lay smaller of the two (usually the sheet) on top, good side facing in.
3. Make sure comforter will fit inside the fabric while laid out.
4. Pin and cut fabric to same size.
5. Sew both long sides of fabric and only one end. Just like a pillow case. End opening will be where comforter is inserted.
6. Turn duvet right-side-out and insert comforter.
7. You can add decorative buttons, ties, etc. to the open end of your duvet or simply leave it open as I did.

NOTE: Duvets are a great way to reuse great linens and also to cover an old comforter. They are easy to wash, and make bed making easy. Project time: about one hour
