About Us...

Norquist Salvage Corporation is a family-owned business operating fifteen Thrift Town thrift stores in four western states. The company was founded in 1972 by Bud & LaVey Norquist and Steve Moore. Their goal was to make Thrift Town a clean, well-lit, and organized place to shop with well-priced merchandise. The founders were committed to making an honest living, as well as helping to raise funds for charity. This same commitment holds true with the next generation currently running the business.The concept of our business is extraordinary. Not only is our company good for the community, it is also good for our charity partners, the environment, and our crew members. We have built our business on providing a fun work atmosphere, competitive wages and excellent benefits to our employees.

NSC is proud to have spent over three decades dedicated to socially responsible recycling. If the merchandise we sell wasn’t in stores like ours, much of it would end up in our landfills. Buying used instead of new saves time, energy and raw materials that would have been spent to make a new item. We are all proud to be a part of the solution instead of part of the problem for the country’s waste management problems.

Note: We do not consign items. Thrift Town purchases all of its top-quality gently-used merchandise exclusively from our local nonprofit partners. Thrift Town does NOT purchase merchandise from individuals outside of our contracts with our charity partners, nor do we offer any type of consignment arrangements. If you would like to generously donate your usable clothing and household items to one of our nonprofit partners, please see the “charity” section of our website for more information on the Household Recycling Programs offered by our local nonprofit partners.  Thank you for your support.
