Glass Where?
Decorative or functional - if you are looking for glassware, Thrift Town’s got it!
These pieces are great for adding to a set you may already have, or even for using as a centerpiece.
And with prices ranging from $1.99 - $5.99 for these particular pieces, you can afford to grab a couple.
Speaking of functional glassware : in the market for wine glasses, juice glasses or any other kind of drinking glass?
Prices range from $0.49 - $1.99 (for bigger pieces) and there are often complete sets with a set price for all of them. Not a bad deal!
As I was looking at the glasses I watched a couple of soon-to-be college freshmen picking out glass for their new place,
completely floored at the affordability of putting together an entire kitchen & house at Thrift Town. They had a couple lamps, a kitchen knife set, and throw pillows for the couch, and were still on a roll. Awesome.

I love glass. I am currently looking for a piece similar to the top left photo, but just haven’t found the right one yet. When I find it I plan on using it as a cute mouthwash container. Much more pleasing to the eye than a huge plastic Scope bottle sitting on the bathroom counter.
If I can find one I’ll send a link to the photo.
Earlier this summer I was in search of glass bowls to hold sewing supplies(feet, bobbins, ect) so I headed to thrifttown and got to do a happy dance as I found exactly what I wanted. So now my stuff is easily found on my sewing table.
Nice photography of the glass. Good work.
I always shop for glassware whenever I’m at Thrift Town. The only problem is knowing when to stop!
Debbi - getting carried away is definitely one of the possible side-effects of Thrift Town housewares.
Thanks! So many beautiful pieces to choose from makes it much easier.
I did a similar search for my sewing supplies, and subsequently, a similar happy dance at Thrift Town. I have some gorgeous glass jars, cannisters and bolws for my sewing space. Great minds think alike! Send us a picture of your newly organized space!
Oh please do send us a link! It’s always so great to find something fancy & stylized to replace something plastic & commercial. Secondhand glass may just be one of my absolute favorite things.
I love all the different glass items they have at thrift town always something new and different to chose from every time we go.
Love the photos!
I have a collection of bottles—greens and blues—that I keep in my dining room window. They’re so pretty against the backdrop of my white walls and curtains, especially when the sun’s coming through them. Glass for the sake of glass—why do you need another reason? : )
Also, I have a great collection of mostly amber bottles used for a homegrown kind of band. You just have to pour enough water inside them to “tune” them to the notes you need, hand ‘em out to your friends, blow just-so on the necks, and with a little practice, you’ll be playing beautiful music together.
I love glass! I have many pieces I’ve found at Thrift Town. I love to collect glass bottles of different colors, shapes and sizes and put them in the backyard on a shelf (with an old mirror behind it) and on the deck floor. Who says they have to be in the house?
I don’t worry too much about my kids breaking them because they are so inexpensive. So far nothing has been broken, but I figure if it does, I’ll start saving colored glass pieces for a mosaic project.
Another thing I love to do is display wine and champagne glasses using the under-the-cabinet racks (they hold the glass upside-down by the stem and base). It saves space in your cabinets and looks amazing! My favorites I look for at Thrift Town are the Mexican style hand-blown glass, but I see so many beautiful glasses there that would work with any decor.

I love thrifted glass for glass etching. New glass items are too expensive and usually aren’t as unique. I will scour Thrift Town to find that perfect piece of glassware to etch and give as gifts during the holidays.
Rachel - yes, half the fun of having pretty glass is creatively displaying it.
