San Francisco Apartment Therapy
Customers are happy to find upscale furniture pieces at Thrift Town!
It’s a wonderful feeling having your own place where you can decorate and design however you want. Even if money isn’t an issue, it’s still a thrill to go to Thrift Town and find a great piece of furniture for pennies on the dollar. But especially if you have champagne taste & a Two-Buck-Chuck budget, Thrift Town is the place to shop for treasures! We received an email from Ryan in San Francisco that we just had to share with you all. He has a great sense of style at his place, and is so happy to be a Thrift Town shopper.
I’ll let him tell you all about it. — Kari
. . . . .
I’m a years-long loyal shopper (both Austin and San Francisco), probably spending just under a thousand a year at your wonderful little company.
My apartment is full of light, has a wonderful view, and is rented for a song. However, I’m an admirer of all things succinctly beautiful, tending toward mid-century design. Given that I’m both an avid collector and an advocate of minimalism, it’s difficult to find peace with my predilections given my studio apartment space. However, Thrift Town often allows me to get creative, such as with this orange Thonet stool, which now serves as the perfect (small) side table.
A month or so ago, I found the wonderful (original) Thonet stool, (the orange stool next to the couch). It now serves as a lovely side-table in my studio. And though I purchased it for a mere $7.99, I’m sure one of those upscale, recycled stores would have priced it well above $150 (ridiculous).
