DIY Fringe from Head to Toe!
DIY Fringe from Head to Toe
Want to add some fringe to your outfit? I have two amazing ways that’ll inspire and satisfy your fringe cravings for this coming summer. Fringe adds so much texture and desirable layers that turn a simple outfit into a unique creation of your own! T-shirts are the number one ingredient for this DIY project and luckily Thrift Town has plenty of those!
First Style ~ Scarf/ Necklace
Cut T-shirt cut the sleeves off, the cut out the side of the tee so the middle is the only thing left. I cut mine in a diagonal to have a “V” affect. Then cut off the back of the V around the collar. Next, lay the front flat and cut strips in the V in any design desired. Once you cut the strings pull them tight so the edges look clean.
Second way ~ Shoe Ankle
Take the t-shirt sleeves and cut them off the rest of the shirt, keep them intact and start cutting strips into them. Make sure they’re the right length so they don’t drag on the floor. Put them are your boot ankle, if they’re too big then cut circle and sew back to desired width.
