Sleeves and Leaves

It’s springtime and I’m so excited for floral prints and cute sundresses! It’s still a little chilly outside so I’ve been wearing lots of large shirts and flannels. I find so many great things at Thrift Town, but they don’t always fit. I found a cute army-green button up but the sleeves were too tight so I added an embroidered insert to them!

Step 1: Choose a shirt.

Step 2: Find some crochet or embroidery twice as long as your sleeve. Tablerunners cut in half work really well for this purpose.

Step 3: Cut one straight line on the outermost part of your sleeve. Make sure to cut the shoulder seam if your sleeves are too tight.

Step 4: Pin the insert in place on your sleeve.

Step 5: Sew the insert in place.

Step 6: Wear it!

I hope you guys enjoyed my blog,

That’s so cute! Did you taper at the shoulder? I can’t see underneath your (very pretty) hair.
