ZOO FOR 2: hers & hers outfits for less

The perfect coat can make an outfit. And when it’s a bit too chilly to even take it off, it IS the outfit! I found this amazing red wool peacoat at Thrift Town before Christmas for $4.99 and was over the moon.

My little one has been wearing it all winter, and it’s the perfect bold red to create a fun look. Here’s a look at our Zoo adventures in her thrifted outfit.

Toddler shades: $1.99 // kitten bobble beanie: $2.99 // priceless.

Tiny mittens with embroidered snowflakes: $0.99
Seeing the zoo with your Granny: heaven

These like-new embroidered boots were already awesome at $2.99, and then
when we put them on our girl for the first time and she started walking around
— THEY HAVE SQUEAKERS IN THE HEELS! OMG. It might be the cutest
thing ever. Every step squeaks. She loves it, and it doubles as a toddler-finder
when she starts to run off! haha Best $3 I’ve spent!

OK, let’s have a moment of momma realness here — some days you don’t
have the time and effort for a super cute fashiony look. This is one of my
favorite tops ($1.99) because it fits & flows well and is SO comfy and simple.
Dark jeans ($3.99), favorite comfy leather boots ($7.99) and a hand knitted
beanie ($0.99): momma comfy for chasing a little around the zoo.

Pretty sure my sister and I were WAY more stoked that
we got the Zoo train/tour to ourselves than the littles were.

Such a fun cozy adventuring day with my loves, in thrifted outfits
that were a fraction ofwhat they would have been elsewhere.
That’s how we roll! Hope you’re having a fab thrifty week!

XO — Kari
