Bohemian Duo ~

As the bohemian, free spirited, gypsy look travels throughout women’s fashion trends, I too find my wardrobe growing in this direction. I’ve always been attracted to aesthetically interesting patterns, prints, and colorful textiles. After my trip to Thailand, my closet is even more consumed by elephant patterns, paisleys and other abstract designs. I recently added two new pieces to my boho style collection and I have Thrift Town to thank for that! I always check out the costume section along with the international clothing section and seem to find amazing, worldly fabrics and apparel.

I found two beautiful dresses during my latest visit to Thrift Town in San Francisco. The left dress was too long in length so I cut a foot off the bottom and kept the fabric for other projects (such as the DIY in my last blog about covering notebooks). Along with the boho style comes a lot of layering, clashing, and vibrancy. I love the laid back, easy going vibe it creates along with the fun, artsy energy it produces. I layered multiple necklaces for this look as well as beaded bracelets and body jewelry. I love that with my style I can add all my favorite pieces to one look. The second dress, on the right, has a beautiful black, burgundy and cream paisley pattern with slits up the sides. The fabric from this dress is so original and easy to match with a pair of black leggings or blue jeans.

Black, white, and blue boho dress.
