THAT NEW YEAR SPARKLE
SHIMMER & SHINE, BABY.
I can’t believe it’s 2016 - how did that happen?
I swear I was JUST writing out my 2015 resolutions. I loved seeing everyone’s fancy outfits for going out on New Year’s Eve, and wondered why we only do fun sparkle when ringing in a new year. You can skip the fancy dress, and class up separates with a little sparkle and shine without looking too over the top for a night out with the girls.
SILVER & GOLD
Here’s my silver option:
This grey fitted sweater is not only a name-brand,
but it has sparkly silver thread woven in, so you have a subtle fun element.
Sweater: $1.99 // Faux-Leather skirt: $3.99
Long fitted sleeves + short A-Line skirt = balance.
Add black tights to keep your legs warm and you’re set!
fab cutout heels: $5.99 // black bracelet: $1.99
metallic floral necklace:
handmade from bag of random beads & jewelry pieces: $3.99
………………………………………….
Then there’s my gold look:
This is how to do sequins without being gaudy. BEBE top: $7.99
Balancing out the top & bottom: strappy top + sheer flowy maxi skirt
Maxi: $2.99
These may be my favorite shoe find from Thrift Town ever. I mean - they’re amazing.
Killer wedge/heels: $2.99 // bracelets: $1.99ea
If I want to bump up the drama, I have a fabulous (faux) fur
wrap that may have to go with whichever I choose.
I’m all ready for a night out with the girls and have way more
to spend on dinner that I didn’t have to spend on a cute look!
Happy Thrifting! XO Kari
