Active wear on a budget!
I hope that everyone had a wonderful New Year! Can you believe it is already 2016? I know, time flies by when you are having fun 🙂 What did everyone do? I would love to hear!
I was lucky enough to ring in the New Year in Oahu. This past year was a little rocky for me and a trip away to somewhere magical like Oahu was exactly what the doctor ordered. I feel refreshed and ready to take on 2016!
I did a TON of swimming, hiking, and exercising while I was there and realized that the majority of my active wear was from Thrift Town. I, like most women, love cute work out gear, but don’t want to spend the hundreds of dollars on them. Honestly, I’d say 90% of my active wear is from thrift stores. (primarily from Thrift Town) This got me thinking about writing this post on entering 2016 on a healthy note with increased physical activity and teaching all of you out there that you don’t have to pay 100 + for a Lulu Lemon hoodie when you could spend $6.99 at Thrift Town! Yes, you heard right. I am constantly finding name brand active pieces like Nike, Lulu Lemon, Athleta, Lucy, Danskin and more.
In today’s post I am sharing some of my favorite active wear Thrift Town finds. With this New Year, I hope everyone has a fantastic, healthy, & prosperous year. I am starting mine early and getting back to active activities like yoga, hiking, and running. They really help me stay centered.
Look #1: Two Lulu Lemon hoodies ($6.99 & $9.99)
I remember the first time I found this blue Lulu hoodie I was sooooo excited. I really like the brand, but could never get myself to spend 100+ on a top or pants. When you go on your next Thrift Town excursion make sure to look at the active section. I can almost guarantee you being blown away! And how cute is this grey Lulu one?! I wear it when I’m out running.
Look #2: Columbia rain jackets, Danskin top, Nike pants, Nike shoes. ($3.99, $2.99, $5.99, $7.99)
I wore this out when I was in Oahu one of the days it was drizzling. The jacket was so perfect and light weight. And can you believe the price at $3.99?!
Look #3: Lululemon pants, stripped pants, and Lucy yoga top ($9.99, $3.99, $3.99)
Yoga is by far one of my favorite work outs and Thrift Town has provided me with an abundance of yoga clothes for next to nothing prices. The Lulu pants alone are over $100 new.
Below are a couple more pictures from my trip wearing pieces from Thrif Town! Hiking the mountains and waterfalls was pure magic.
Again, I hope everyone had a lovely New Year! And make sure to check out Thrift Town’s active section next time you are in!
Until next time…
Love,
The Dress Fiend (Phoebe)
