A very merry Thriftmas: 4 fabulous frugal looks!

I can not believe that Christmas is two days away! I mean, where did 2015 go?! This year has been a whirlwind and many wonderful thrifted looks came into my life. I love getting dressed up and December is such a great month to find some of your best holiday looks at local thrift stores, such as Thrift Town. There are tons and tons of work functions, get togethers with friends, and holiday parties. I feel that holiday looks should include bold colors, (red is my favorite!) shimmer, and fur. (faux fur is a GREAT option)

In this post I’ve included 4 fabulous thrifted looks that were all found primarily at Thrift Town. It’s your one stop shop for finding anything from casual to uber fancy. And don’t forget that when throwing one of your fancy holiday parties you can also find all of your Christmas decor and tableware there, too! Honestly, my Christmas tree, ornaments, candles, and and cute holiday mugs are from Thrift Town! I hope you enjoy my looks!

Thrifts look #1: Vintage fur neck wrap, striped top, midi high waist satin skirt, & Stuart Weitzman heels. (Vintage fur wrap, Thrift Town, $12.99 minus 30% off from sale)

I recently (12/18/15) went to Thrift Town’s 30% sale and found this beautiful vintage wrap. Nothing says glamorous like an amazing piece of fur. Again, it can be faux as well. I don’t buy new fur, but can appreciate vintage and feel like it’s better than going into our landfills and a piece of fashion history. Mixing and matching new pieces with vintage is my favorite way to dress. The top and skirt are Forever21, but look really designer and expensive paired with the fancy fur. Thrift Town seems to always have great vintage pieces like this. Make sure to check out their vintage section next time you are in!

Thrifts look #2: Houndstooth Express pants, J.Crew ruffled blouse, Tory Burch cardigan, vintage heels, and sequin hat. (Pants, blouse, and shoes from Thrift Town - $9.99, $7.99, & $5.99 minus 30% off!)

Houndstooth is hands down one of my favorite prints. It’s classic, timeless and pairs nicely with just about everything. These pants can go with just about anything from a chunky sweater, to a nice tank and a fitted blazer. Invest in houndstooth pieces as the print will ALWAYS be in fashion.

Thriftmas look #3: Houndstooth vintage skirt, Gap turtleneck, sequin necklace, plaid Franco Sarto heels & red knitted beret. (Skirt, necklace, and heels from Thrift Town - $6.99, $2.99, and $6.99)

Again, I LOVE houndstooth! This skirt is so amazing and a piece I will wear with everything. But, what I love most about this outfit are the plaid shoes! I mean, they just scream the perfect holiday show don’t they?! I adore them and plaid. Plaid is another classic and timeless print. Seriously, I am obsessed with these heels. Thrift Town has the best shoes, especially for designer ones. I once scored a pair of black Mary Jane Manolo Blanik heels and almost fainted.

Thriftmas look #4: J.Crew blouse, J.Crew top, and diamond stud earrings. (Blouse and earrings from Thrift Town, $3.99, & $2.99)

Layering in the colder months is my fav. I always tell people to take their summer sleeveless shirts/dresses and throw a collared shirt or turtleneck underneath for a great winter look. This J.Crew collared shirt is the perfect top to layer with this J.Crew holiday shirt I just got. Thrift Town has a crazy amount of J.Crew items. Seriously, I recently scored a new with tags still on Merino wool sweater for $7.99! Also, if you need basic jewelry, check out the jewelry at the counter at Thrift Town. One day I’d like to afford real pearls and diamonds, but for now I buy the faux ones at Thrift Town. They look real 🙂

I hope everyone has an amazing Christmas and remember that you still have some time to get your last minute shopping done at Thrift Town. Buy a gift card for a special loved one or make an adorable DIY holiday mug filled with yummy teas or hot coco. Shoot, a $100 gift card for someone is like 10 outfits! 🙂

Remember, if you ever have any styling or thrift questions I am your go to thrift girl! You can message me here or at peverkouw@yahoo.com - I’m a woman on a thrift mission here to help all of you be your absolute best through fashion found at local thrift stores.

Until next time…
