Thrifted Stocking Stuffers!

December is here and I’m so excited to celebrate the holidays with my family and friends! Gift shopping at Thrift Town is always so much fun, I’m always pleasantly surprised by what I find! This time I found some great stocking stuffers.

I found a neat Star Wars coffee mug, some cute earrings, a pair of cozy gloves, and two funny tee-shirts. I also found a tree to put my gifts under!

This aluminum Christmas tree was $3.99, and goes great with the rest of our decorations! I realized that everyone in my family has a stocking except for our cat, so I decided to make one! I have so many festive sweaters, but one in particular stood out to me.

Sweater to Stocking

Step 1: Choose a sweater.

Step 2: Draw or trace a stocking on your sweater with chalk. It’s easiest to use the bottom hem of your sweater as the opening of the stocking.

Step 3: Cut out the stocking.

Step 4: Sew the edges together.

Step 5 (optional): Turn inside out and sew trim around the top. I used the neck of the sweater because it had embroidered snowflakes. I also sewed one to the heel of the stocking to tie it all together!

Step 6: Hang it up with the rest of your stockings!

I hope you guys enjoyed my blog!

Happy holidays,
