HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! ~

So for most of us, midterms just happened or they will within the next few weeks. This creates school, work, hobbies, and just life in general to be a tad hectic when it’s all happening at once. On top of it, Halloween approached so quickly there was hardly time to make plans! Picking out a costume can be time consuming, EXPENSIVE and tricking to find especially when you only have a few hours before it’s dress up time and a budget. I have 5 cheap, creative, and quick ideas here that only need a few main items and you’re set!

PRETTY IN PINK

1. Pink Flamingo ~ In order to dress up as a super cute Flamingo, all you need is PINK! Pink shoes, pink pants, pink shorts, pink skirt, pink dress, pink tank, or a pink shirt! Anything pink goes with this outfit and who doesn’t love a lil pink in their life every now and then. Feathers are an important addition in this costume because Flamingo’s are birds and they do have feathers. I found this hot pink boa at thrift town for $4.99!

2. A Pink Princess~ Everyone loves to be treated as Royalty (even if it’s only for the night). Halloween is the perfect night to pretend you are the princess of San Francisco or even the world! (Whatever your heart desires) With this costume you need a pink dress, a pink boa, a crown, some pretty eye shadow, some lipstick. Thats it! Although, sparkles will make a fabulous addition!

3. The Giants Fan~ Obviously some of us are already Giants fans, but why not be a crazy obsessed giants fan and be decked out in some spirit wear?! The colors do match Halloween so show some pride and make them proud! I found this Giants Tee at Thrift Town for $2.99, I cut it into a crop top and paired it with these awesome glasses. Some black, white, or orange face paint would be a nice tough too!

4. The Happy Hippy~ This is one of my favorite attires. Fringe, Fringe, and more Fringe! This costume includes bell bottoms, a thrifted fringe vest, a fringe or psychedelic top, braided pigtails, a flower head band, big circular glasses and a peace sign painted on the cheek! I know these are a lot of elements but only a few of them and you’ll look like a true hippy!

5. The (Not so Scary) Scarecrow~ I was a scarecrow for Halloween last year and if you’re looking for a fun comfortable costume, look no further. First you’ll need a flannel, this is a must. Thrift Town has many, many flannels for no more that $5. Then either overalls or some blue jeans, and if they’re shorts, get some knee high socks to wear with the boots. If you’re feeling real spirited, stuff some hay in the pockets of your pants and flannel for an authentic look. For the face, paint a triangle on your nose, and some stitches along your mouth or just the corners of your mouth. And there ya go! You’re a scarecrow! (That rhymed !!)
