Outfit ideas for TBD festival & other music festivals!
This upcoming weekend us Sacramentans are gearing up for the music event of the summer: TBD Festival ! It’s a three day music festival that delivers an eclectic group of musicians ranging from Chromeo to Tears for Fears. It’s a really fun concert that has grown tremendously over the years. It’s one of the events that makes me Sacramento proud.
Now, besides the incredible music lineup, there is also an incredible sense of style that can be seen. I’ve been lucky enough enough to blog and volunteer for the music festival the last two years and have seen first hand how ‘festival wear’ has grown into its own very unique style. I can say, with out a doubt, that a lot of the style is directly influenced from the 70’s. There’s definitely a Bohemian vibe present at every music festival I’ve attended from SF to Sacramento. It’s really fun to see how each person delves into their creative fashionable side to produce outstanding looks for the concerts. I thought for this post it would be great to highlight some looks I think would be festival appropriate. I have a good range from vintage to contemporary pieces. I mean, why not show off some fun vintage pieces? Especially when the trend seems to be in line with the 70s!
I hope you enjoy my four looks below and make sure to check out TBD starting this Friday! Need an outfit? Then head on over to your favorite Thrift Town for the perfect look.
Outfit #1:
Ok, I love love love a good vintage find and this 70’s velvet mini dress is to die for! (Thrift Town, $9.99) It wouldn’t be a Bohemian look with out the perfect floppy hat. Marsala red is a hit color for fall and these vintage cow boy boots and leather Tommy Hilfilger purse are perfect! (Thrift Town, $19.99 & $24.99)
Outfit #2:
For something a little more casual and less Bohemian, I opted for this Mossimo Target dress and paired it with some fun and colorful accessories. How fun is this purse?! Since it is a festival, it’s better to wear comfy flats. These flats are super cute though. (Dress, necklace, and shoes from Thrift Town. $3.99, $1.99 & $5.99)
Outfit #3:
Fringe is WAY in this fall and I just adore this fun sweater vest. It’s so 70s! It pairs perfectly with these wide leg 70s style jeans and clogs. The vintage Dooney & Burke is the perfect accessory! (Thrift Town, $9.99, $7.99, $5.99, and $12.99)
Outfit #4:
How stunning is this beautiful vintage embroidered dress? This would be perfect with a flower crown in your hair or this cute fedora. Pair it with these cute J.Crew flats and silver cuff and you are ready! (Thrift Town, dress $7.99 and flats $5.99)
I hope you enjoyed my looks and make sure to check out the TBD festival this weekend if you are in Sacramento!
