I’ve been on the lookout for a satchel but couldn’t find the right one at the right price. A few days ago, I was at Thrift Town and spotted two cute purses. One was a light brown leather Fossil purse ($11.99) and the other was a dark brown Ralph Lauren purse with a really cool hook closure ($5.99). The only problem was that the strap lengths were just too short for my liking. I dug around in the purses and bags and found a random purse strap with clips on the ends ($.99). I decided to buy the strap and the purses and set off for home anxious to try out a purse-to-satchel transformation. Here are some suggestions for making the look work for you:

Step 1: Buy a Purse that has rings where the strap attaches to the purse. Find a purse strap that has clips on the ends

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step 2: Cut off the old purse straps
