Don’t be afraid to wear gem tone colors this fall!
This summer sure has gone by fast! I realize that we still have a little over 2 weeks left of summer, but my mind is already on fall and all of the fun trends that come along with it. I’ll admit, I don’t always follow trends because they don’t always work for me. But, this fall season I am all about the gem tone colors. They are such rich, bold, and definitely make a beautiful statement. And the fun thing about gem tone colors is that you can easily mix and match the colors to really stand out from the crowd. For example, I LOVE mixing teal with orange or amethyst with turquoise. Check out some of my photos below for some great examples on how to have fun with gem tone colors this fall season! If you have any questions about how to mix and match the colors please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask!
Today I’ve curated four look that highlight some gem colors I love like amethyst purple, turquoise, teal, and citrine yellow. I hope you enjoy my looks!
Outfit #1: Teal Banana Republic dress (new with tags on! $12.99) and vintage orange jewelry ($7.99) & Aldo orange heels ($7.99)
For as long as I can remember I have absolutely loved the bright color combo of teal with burnt orange.
Outfit #2: Citrine yellow colored sweater ($3.99) with Levi wide leg jeans, ($7.99) leather clogs, ($7.99) and leather J.Crew purse (my own)
This color yellow is one of my favorites and this fall have fun with some 70’s pieces like clogs and bell bottoms. Also, citrine also pairs nicely with purple, too!
Outfit #3: Ralph Lauren purple dress (19.99) with purple and green necklace ($5.99) and leather Vince Camuto ankle boots ($15.99)
I am obsessed with pairing dark green with amethyst purple. It’s probably my favorite color combo for fall to be honest. I even went out and bought a purply lipstick!
Outfit #4: BCBG dress, ($9.99) Ninewest turquoise heels ($5.99) and turquoise necklace (my own)
I will always rock a floral print and this BCBG dress was a great find at Thrift Town. It might be the perfect fall dress! Not only does it have my beloved purple in it, but it also have turquoise! These are definitely two of my all time favorite gem tone colors to pair!
I hope you enjoyed my looks!
Until next time…
Love,
