Hello! We are right in the middle of summer vacation season so of course I headed to my local Thrift Town here in Albuquerque, New Mexico to shop for my trip to Vegas!!

First, can I say that all those fancy, schmancy stores ain’t got nothin’ over my local Thrift Town when it comes to their window displays. I stopped dead in my tracks and had to take pictures of the two mannequins that were sporting THE cutest outfits.

 

A denim romper? Totally on trend!

 

 

I loved this graphic tee shirt and meant to check to see what size it was. I totally forgot! It really sucks to be old…but not when it comes to getting a discount. 😉

Did you know that Thrift Town offers a 30% discount off clothing EVERY Monday for Seniors ages 60+?

Yeah, that’s why I take my 64 year old husband with me on Monday’s so I can get the discount too.

This Monday was no different…

So, I’m looking around the store looking for something for my vacation wardrobe that could do ‘double duty’. You know, something that I could wear during the day seeing the sights of Las Vegas and then, with a few minor changes I could wear it out on the town for dinner and drinks!

Check out what I found:

 

This brand spanking new (with a $29.95 price tag on it ) New York & Co City Knit Luxe black skirt!! I scored it for a mere $7.99. I love, love the feel of this skirt. It’s super stretchy and I knew that THIS skirt could do the ‘double duty’ I needed for my vacation.

With that taken care of, I headed off in search of two tops. One for day and one for night. The ‘Better Clothing’ section, located right at the front of the store, did NOT disappoint.

 

 

Here is my daytime, sightseeing, sweating to death because it’s 115 degrees outside ‘look’.

 

The yellow tank is J Crew, brand new and only $4.10.

 

To add a little pizazz I added this zebra bracelet that I scored previously for $4.19.

 

 

 

To change it up for night, I paired my ‘double duty’ skirt with a $9.09 White House Black Market top.

 

 

To jazz this nighttime look up, I added this black textured bracelet that I also scored a while back at Thrift Town for $1.99.

 

Well, there you have it! Two cute looks and enough room left in my suitcase for all the ‘treasures’ I hope to find in Vegas. 😉
