Thrift haul: 4th of July 50% off sale at Thrift Town!

The 50% off sale at Thrift Town for the 4th of July weekend was beyond amazing. Lucky for me, I had the 3rd off (day of the sale) and was able to hit up two different Thrift Town stores! I was on a total thrift high the whole day.

Before I get into the clothes and accessories that I found during the sale, I wanted to share some of my thrift tips when shopping busy sales. If you’ve ever been to a big thrift sale then you know the stores can be complete mad houses. First tip is to go into the store with a mission. This means have a list with the top 3 things that you are looking for. In my case it was dresses, (obviously) casual pieces (pants and tops) and accessories. (I’m obsessed with colorful scarves in the summer, I wear them as head scarves) This makes shopping easier as you are more focused and methodical about what you are looking for. Thrift Town is super organized and has all items categorized and by size! Second, wear clothes you can get in and out of easily, or in my case wear things that are easy to get things on and on and off with clothes on. Like, most of the time I wear yoga pants and a tank on big sale days. The lines to try on clothes are massive and I find it easier to try on pieces in front of a mirror somewhere else in the store with out the hassle of a line! Third, go home, try on your new pieces, and do a happy dance because of all the money you saved with the 50% off :)

Alright, back to fashion. Like I said, I hit it out of the park with the sale and only showing a fraction of what I found in the post. I think part 2 might be in order! Below are some outfits I came up with from the sale items. I hope you enjoy them and find some inspiration for outfit ideas! Happy thrifting everyone.

Outfit 1: I call this my Parisian/Nautical/Pirate look lol - or maybe that’s what my co worker called me today. I love this fun summer casual look. Gap top, Banana Republic pants both found at sale. ($2 & $4!) The silk scarf says Paris on it, how cute right? And everyone needs a straw purse in summer. (both purchased from a previous TT trip)

Outfit 2: I adore these wide leg BCBG pants with belt! And the Ann Taylor sequin cotton top adds the perfect amount of flair. How cute are the Ann Taylor sandals?! Practically brand new, too. ($3, $2 & $5.99 (shoes not on sale)

Outfit 3: I really REALLY like this vintage Guatemalan style skirt. It’s beautifully made and so colorful. It pairs nicely with the Banana Republic top and vintage necklace! I’ll be wearing this out to the fair tomorrow! ($3, $1.50!! and $3.99 (necklace from a previous trip)

Outfit #4: We all love J.crew right? This beautiful silk dress was only $1.50!!!! I couldn’t believe it. I paired it with a neutral belt and shoes.

Outfit #5:

I am SO in love with these high waist Gap jeans. I have the hardest time finding pants that fit me correctly and these are perfect. I have a higher waist and much prefer higher waist pants. And how stinkin’ cute are the vintage green/purple heels with the matching scarf?! I found them in the same store and it’s like they are meant for each other.

Outfit #6:

Last but not least we have this amazing green strapless Old Navy dress that also cost $1.50! I’m telling you, there were some amazing pieces for even more amazing prices at the sale. Again, I am obsessed with silk scarves in summer and this vintage one pairs perfectly with the dress.

I hope you all enjoyed my 4th of July sale thrift haul! Please let me know if you ever have any thrift or styling questions. I would love to help :)
