THRIFTED BABY BIRTHDAY BASH
SURVIVAL CELEBRATION.
WE DID IT! We successfully kept a tiny human alive for a whole goshdang year and that’s worth celebrating! Also, her. We should celebrate her. That she’s adorable, sweet, smart, _______ - she’s allthethings. We went to our annual week-long family camp (that we missed for the first time ever last year when she was born) and we were able to celebrate our little one with lifelong family friends. So special and fun.
Of course she had a 100% thrifted & handmade outfit.
Ruffled lavender polka-floral dress was $1.49 at Thrift Town.
I’ve featured the white sandals before, and I just added a pair
of white bloomers ($0.49) and a handmade purple sparkle headband.
But the piece that made the look, and actually decided the decor was the flower crown.
I turned a thrifted bunch of yellow roses into a (giant) flower crown, and then made
the party yellow and lavender.
It took some doing, but we finally got her to actually smash the cake instead of
just pick the colored sprinkles off one at a time. Then of course, expected
her to eat dinner like a lady hours later.
Such a fun and special day, simple and sweet with our family.
And I was able to have an adorable outfit that I didn’t have to worry
about it getting messy, since it was under $5!
