The Scooter Skirt
I love me a cute scooter skirt! What I don’t love is a skort. Yes, there is a difference.
A skort looks like a skirt in the front and shorts in the back. A scooter skirt looks like a skirt from all sides because the shorts are hidden underneath.
Not everyone can pull off a skort and I am one of those people. Sure, it looks all cute from the front, but then I turn around and it’s a different story… and not a good one.
A scooter skirt on the other hand…everyone can pull that look off! I don’t mind wearing a shorter skirt either, when there is a pair of shorts attached underneath!
On a recent trip to the Albuquerque Thrift Town, I came across a scooter skirt. Check it out.
Everything you see in this photo cost me LESS THAN $14.00. Yeah…
Let me break it down for you:
First off, I shopped on a Monday…the best day to shop if you are age 60+. Why? Because you get 30% off all clothing! Yes, I’m not quite old enough yet but my husband is! Thanks honey!!
Since I used my husband for the discount, I got that Talbot’s white polo style shirt (totally on trend by the way) for $2.79. I know, right!
Let’s talk about that scooter skirt now. The brand is Tail. I’m sure some of you have heard of that activewear brand, especially if you are a golfer. These skirts retail new anywhere from $80.00 to $100.00. Do you want to know how much I paid? Luck was on my side. This tag on this Tail scooter skirt happened to be the color that was 50% off that day. I scored this $100.00 scooter skirt for $3.00.
Yes, even I’m amazed at all the good deals I find at Thrift Town.
I spent the majority of my money on the shoes. These Chadwick’s slides are like new and set me back $7.99. Yes, normally you would wear this look with some tennis shoes or if you’re a golfer, you would pair it with golf shoes…which by the way, I have seen selling at Thrift Town.
I just wanted to dress it up a bit to run errands because that’s how I roll. To help accomplish this I added one of my Thrift Town bracelets I had that was $2.99.
Once again, no one was around to take my picture, so I had to break out the old selfie stick.
Sigh…
There you have it. Another super cute outfit for next to nothing thanks to my local Thrift Town! 🙂

I have bought 3 scooter skirts from Thrift Town, although I was incorrectly calling them “skirts”. Thanks for the education!
It was my pleasure! 🙂 They are my favorite thing to wear!
I meant “skorts” not “skirts”. Auto Correct!
That darn auto correct! Hahaha
