GOODNIGHT STRAWBERRY.

OUTFIT INSPIRATION CAN COME FROM ANYWHERE.

I was reading Goodnight Moon to my girl the other day and we needed to get dressed to go to a party. I usually lay her outfits out on her little couch in her room, and when I went to grab her clothes to lay out, the book was already there, so I added to it.

So fun to start with a non-clothing item as an outfit inspiration, and build it from there. The headband is from hemming yet another vintage thrifted piece, and it has just enough stiffness in the fabric to make for a great bow.

If I hadn’t started with the book, these little strawberries would be
a shoe-in for the outfit building piece (shoe-in. get it? ok, I’m done).

Normally I wouldn’t think to do green and red together for a non christmas post,
but it totally works for summer! All thrifted, the top gives us the pattern, and the
shoes tie all the colors together. *sigh* Can she just stay little forever so I can
keep putting her in whatever I want??

little green shorts: $0.99 // striped onesie: $0.99 // strawberry moccasins: $1.99
headband: handmade // goodnight moon: gift
