Mommy Moments: Fashion Sense
As a mom of three I completely and totally abuse the use of my yoga-pants. There are many reasons for this. The elastic waistband, time crunch, always ready in case the opportunity arises to squeeze in a workout (HA), no time (or want) to shop for trendy fashions with three whiny kids in tow. The list can go on and on. However, I decided it was time to adult, and expand my wardrobe beyond the workout wear. Here’s a few fun finds I found at Thrift Town, and yes, I do plan on actually wearing them (at some point)! Bonus, I saved hundreds of dollars by thrifting vs. paying department store prices.
Stripes are a fun trend this season. I added these to the wardrobe.
I love dresses, and this Ann Taylor t-shirt dress and Max Studio ruffle layer dress were super comfy and adorable!
Denim is also huge this spring. I found a white Banana Republic, and dark denim blazer as well as a longer version with a cinch belt.
One of my goals was to add color and patterns to my normally very monochromatic wardrobe choices. I found a bunch of cute options, none of which were over $3.99 each!
Finally I found some bottoms that fit ok. A have a Banana Republic striped capri pant, a white linen option and a fun black with leather accents skirt.
Thrift Town has a huge selection of items that can easily update your wardrobe. Many people think that because it’s a thrift store, that there’s no way it can flex with current fashion trends. Wrong! Case and point, check out a recent segment I did on Good Morning Texas that featured hot spring trends whereby all items came from Thrift Town! Click HERE to see how current trends like fringe, stripes, lace, leather, denim and more were pulled directly from Thrift Town stores!
Happy thrifting!
