ROCKING THE BASICS: LACE LOVE.

There’s a movement making it’s way across the internet of reducing your wardrobe
to a “capsule wardrobe”, keeping a very minimal number of items, but being able
to easily interchange them with each other and simplify your choices in the
morning and thus, your life.

As I work to simplify my own wardrobe, I look at my daughter’s and I definitely
consider the versatility of each piece I purchase for her. With her rapid growing,
there’s less longevity in “building a wardrobe” for her, but I’m happy with her current
collection as I have been a lot choosier on quality basics with flair.

This cream layered lace top/tunic is one of my favorite pieces for Olive. It is so versatile (and she is so HAPPY!). This particular day we paired it with jeans, but we could do any color pant and add a jacket or sweater, OR bloomer/diaper covers and sandals for warmer weather. Interchangeable headbands just bring it all together.

On this family trip last week we ended up quite coordinated,
in completely thrifted looks for all 3 of us. My tan suede wedges were $3.99, and
my husband’s khaki shorts & name brand shirt were collectively under $10.

My lace top was $1.99, with a cream camisole under, and a sheer black skirt.
Olive’s top was $0.99, and she wore it with basic dark denim leggings and
a handmade (from thrifted tank tops) headband. My jewelry is handmade
and thrifted.

After the roadtrip, time with family and play time, Olive was pooped.
Made for an adorable and quiet ride home.
