Graduation Day!
My baby is graduating from High School tomorrow! Where did all the time go? #sadface Of course, for this momentous occasion, I wanted something ‘newâ to wear so I headed off to Thrift Town Albuquerque to see what I could find.
When Iâm in the store shopping, I always forget to look up. What do I mean by that, you ask? Well, they have displays of really cute clothes, shoes and accessories on top of the racks of clothing!
Exhibit A:
O…MG! Floral wedges are HUGE for Spring/Summer 2015. These would have totally come home with me…if only they were my size. đ
Exhibit B:
Seriously, Iâm dying right now over this dress and bag! Why I didnât ask someone to get it down for me to see what size it was is beyond me. Maybe because it was just a TAD too fancy for this particular occasion.
Shout out to Thrift Town Albuquerque for their displays though. Well done, Thrift Town…well done.
Dresses are easy and comfortable and because I knew I was going to be sitting for hours…I wanted an outfit that embodied those two things.
Here is what I put together for this momentous occasion.
My husband voiced his opinion on this dress too. He wasnât that crazy about it…until he saw it on me.
Cute, right?! This is another Evan Picone dress. The same brand as the one I wore for my husbandâs birthday. This particular dress set me back $9.19. It was originally $12.99 but I shopped on a Monday, when Seniors aged 60+ get 30% off clothing. I took my now 64 year old husband with me, so I saved $3.90!
To go with it I got this really cool looking purse.
I think itâs homemade. I like the 70âs kinda feel it has. It was only $3.99. Also, I donât know if you can tell but I have on TWO bracelets. One is ‘silverâ and the other is ‘gold. Each bracelet was $1.49..
The total cost of this outfit? Only $11.83…because I had a $5.00 off coupon.
Score another one for me! đ

i love this!! You look super cute, polished, put together yet comfortable. That is a difficult combination for me to achieve! Iâm thinking I need more jewlery, mainly necklaces in my life!
Thank you my BFF!!! Yes, accessories make all the difference for sure! Thrift Town has a great selection of jewelry. đ
Wow…that math problem (so I could post) was really hard today…I actually had to think about it! Now back to the real reason I”m here….that dress is wonderful. I liked it even when it was flat, but itâs a good example to your husband how trying things on can make or break an item! Congrats to your baby!! jodie

Oh…my gosh! I am right there with you on those math problems! I was super excited about finding that dress. The look on my husbandâs face was priceless. He was SO surprised at how it looked on me. That was the first time that ever happened. đ
Really attractive outfit. I love how Evan Picone dresses fit and flatter. Enjoy your special event đ
Thanks! I was really happy with the fit. đ I think I might cry before this weekend is over…
You look terrific! What a find! Congratulations on your sonâs graduation. Bittersweet I am sure. My granddaughter graduates in a few weeks.
Thanks Kenna! Bittersweet is EXACTLY how I feel. đ I canât believe you have a granddaughter old enough to graduate! Congratulations to you too! Perhaps you also will be wearing an outfit from Thrift Town? đ
Lovely outfit! Did you ever go back and take a look at that other dress? It is very pretty as well.
