THE TRIED & TRUES.

Going from being single, to married to pregnant and then motherhood, your body (and life) go through some crazy changes, and there’s a special place in my heart for people and pieces that have been there through it all.

To anyone who doubts the power of thrift because it’s “cheap” clothing, let’s set the record straight. It’s less expensive, but often you can find GREAT well-made pieces, in name brands that stand the test of time.

The pieces I’m showing you today, I bought at Thrift Town years ago, before I was married and am still enjoying them today. #thriftwin

When you’re large and in charge with a baby on the way, repeat after me:

WRAP DRESSES ARE YOUR FRIEND.

This red & white dress could wrap around my tiny pre-baby self and then
still embrace the watermelon I smuggled under my clothes for 9 months.

When you’re already that big, ya might as well make a statement, huh?
Once I was pregnant, my impressive collection of thrifted heels was boxed up
as I didn’t want to fall, teetering my new shape atop a couple inches of spikes.

With traditional heels out, these wedges went from one more option
for height to one of my only options. They were $2.99 at Thrift Town
YEARS ago, and they’ve been making dresses look cute since.
They didn’t have ankle straps so I added stretchy black lace as ties!

Now 10 months into motherhood, I’m still not exactly sure what size I am
(besides not pre-baby size), but guess what? My trusty wrap dress has never
cared what size I am. It loves my shape and makes me look festive no matter what.
