Mommy Moments; Creative Upcycling!
I love scouring Pinterest for fun and unique upcycling ideas, then trying to recreate them using items I find at Thrift Town. Normally I do makeovers on these items, transforming them into masterpieces, which admittedly takes quite some time to achieve. However, I wanted to share a few ideas with you that took less than five minutes to create.
First up…take an everyday file cabinet, remove the drawers, flip it on it’s back and viola…instant storage for bulky garage items. Cost $15 for the file cabinet at Thrift Town. Time to create: 5 mins.
Second fun upcycling tip; using a plastic basket as a ribbon organizer! Cost: $2. Time to create: 10 mins…only because I had to untangle the ribbon from my current ribbon “organization” bin!
Third upcycle idea; using a candelabra as a cute jewelry and accessory tree! Cost will vary on quality of candelabra, around $5-$10. Time to create: Less than 5 mins.
Upcycle #4; Muffin Tin Nuts & Bolts Storage! Great life hack for a junk drawer organizer. I showed it here as a means to organize various nails and screws in my toolbox area in the garage. Cost $2. Time to create: less than 5 minutes.
And finally…upcycle idea #5; Jean Pocket Phone Charging Station. Cut the pocket off a pair of old jeans, making sure you leave some room at the top where you can cut a slit that allows you to hang the pocket on the charger. Pop your phone and cord inside the pocket while it’s charging and you have a much cleaner charging station! Cost $2. Time to create: 5 minutes.
