Spring 2015 Trend Alert!

With the first day of spring just around the corner, I headed to Thrift Town with my list of Spring 2015 Trends to see what I could find.

I found not one, not two, but THREE on trend items!

SAM_3449That’s right…each of these tops is on trend for Spring 2015.

First up…

SAM_3458 The one shoulder top.

This Runes top was only $4.19 and the ‘spicy’ colors in it are also on trend. This is my least favorite trend of Spring. In fact, I wasn’t even going to buy this top but my husband thought it was sexy. Go figure…

SAM_3463I paired it with a gold bangle ($1.99 ), my $4.00 Gloria Vanderbilt denim pencil skirt (because I wanted to keep the look more conservative) AND Miss Oreo! EVERYTHING looks cuter with Miss Oreo in the picture!

20150225_103049-1I got myself a ‘selfie’ stick and I’ve been playing around with it…

Up next:

The Polo Shirt.

This Alfani botanical floral (which is totally on trend too) polo shirt was only $5.59 and is my favorite of the three. I think it’s my husband’s LEAST favorite.

I paired it with some patterned navy pants and popped it with a fuchsia sandal and bracelet.

Last up:

This blue loft cardigan…$5.59, paired with white is also on trend for Spring 2015 (Blue and White).

Check out the chiffon back!

Love it!

I paired it with my Ralph Lauren white denim capri pants ($3.99) from my birthday haul, along with a straw bag that I scored at Thrift Town for $3.49.

Why are my shoes in my hand? Because I’m ready to dig my feet in the sand! If only there was water close by.

The back of this Loft sweater definitely makes it something special. Don’t you agree?

So, are you heading to YOUR local Thrift Town to see what Spring 2015 trend you can find? I think you should…and I think you should do it on a Monday if you’re age 60+ . If you do, you’ll save an EXTRA 30% off clothing. You Seniors are so lucky!

Darlene Fadem is a wife and mother with two boys in college. She’s OBVIOUSLY over 50, hence the name Thrifty Over 50. She admits to being a label hunter when thrifting, but pleads the fifth to everything else. 😉 You can also find her styling looks on her fashion blog for older women whosaprettygirl
