Fabulous Fall Finds
It might have been 91 degrees in Sacramento today, but that didn’t stop me from wearing a light weight cute sweater dress with ankle boots! (see ankle boots in photos below) Besides today’s warmer weather, it has been quite fall-like recently. It’s like all of a sudden the first day of fall came and the leaves started changing color, the weather cooled, the sun started to go down earlier, and my love for all things fall reemerged.
There are a few trends that I’m attracted to this year and one of them is the ‘robe style’ coat. Last year my talented momma made me a robe coat out of wool material found second hand. Lucky for me, the coat is a trend this fall. My mom has always been ahead of her time when it comes to trends! When I realized that the robe coat was all over the fall runways I knew this was one trend I wanted to follow. A couple of weeks ago I was getting my shop on at the Thrift Town on El Camino and stumbled across the most exquisite grey wool vintage robe coat. ($19.99)
It’s a little on the bigger side, but I like it this way. Reminds me of the Celine coats on the runways right now! It’s in PERFECT condition and definitely one of my fall staples in my wardrobe now. And take a look at the collar, isn’t it just stunning? I paired the coat with my Michael Kors faux fur scarf I got last year at Thrift Town. ($3.99)
Something else I will love yesterday, today, and forever are stripes. A couple of days ago I went shopping (again!) and found this adorable jersey striped light weight jacket. Stripes, for me, are so classic and will never go out of style. I see myself finding many good ways of styling this little number. For this look, I went more casual with a crisp white t-shirt, NY&Co distressed jeans (Thrift Town, $1.99) and Steve Madden leather ankle boots.
Might I also recommend going out and finding yourself a cute pair of distressed jeans. I’m more of a classic girl, but there is something fun and edgy about these jeans. These days I see girls wearing them for day and night - super cute!
Hope everyone is enjoying fall so far and finding some fabulous fall finds while you are out thrifting! Thrift Town not only has some great coats right now, but some other great fall fashionable items as well!

Thank you for the tips! I’m keeping my stripes. I recently thought they needed to go, not now!
