Mommy Moments; Baseball Lamp!

So I had A LOT of left over baseballs from my baseball wreath project, so I was searching for another idea that required a large amount of balls.

I came across this thin lamp in Thrift Town’s hardware department, and the light bulb went on…baseball lamp.

The first thing you need to do is disassemble the electrical part of your lamp. Take everything off that will get in your way of stringing the balls along the steel base.

Finally…this should be small enough!

Next step is to drill the holes through the baseballs. Be sure to use a good vise grip and tighten it to the max in order to get the cleanest holes.

Next is to insert a spade bit into your drill. This size worked perfect for the size of my lamp’s base; 5/8.

Be sure to drill all the way through the ball. Once the hole is made, start to thread the balls over the steal base of the lamp.

Continue until the base is completely covered.

Once done, reattach all electrical components. Another thing to consider is the shade. I actually like the stripped down look vs. the shade it came with. If you go the stripped down look, it’s fun to pair it with a vintage looking light-bulb. Side-note…the ball next to the lamp is my son’s first little league out of the park homerun ball :)
