PEACHY KEEN

CUTE & COZY.

That’s what I want my outfits to be. My aunt bought me a stripey stretchy skirt, and was hoping it would fit the belly-ness I’ve got going on. It does, buuuut… I had yet to do this profile/proportion, style-wise with the baby bump: the long skirt + long top thing. The other issue was, this is not really my color/style of skirt.

But I love a challenge and was determined to make it work (especially with my lack of maternity clothes abundance). At first I tried the skirt all the way up over my belly with just a tank top for my chest & up. Aaaand I looked ridiculous. After a few failed attempts, I finally landed on this:

As I tend to lean toward softer looks, I chose to not do a bright white top,
and felt that the brown sweater really tempered the bright stripes.

Brown tank: $1.99 // Brown American Eagle sweater: $2.99

If you’ve ever seen an outfit post from me, you know I love layered necklaces.
This is thrift + handmade + a gift, all hangin’ out together looking fab.

Thrift Town earrings for $1.49. This may have been the first time I’ve ever
worn these. Guess the uncharacteristically peach skirt was a good gift after all.

And finally, a little bit of summery thrifted height. In order to have the non-maternity
skirt sit where it needed to under the belly, it made the skirt puddle on the floor.
These $4.99 wedges are super cute and worked great for the boost I needed.
