Flower Power

Spring is in the air, the flowers are starting to bloom, and warmer weather is upon us. All this gets me to thinking about brighter colors and warm weather clothes! Don’t get me wrong, I love wearing my fabulous coats in winter, but spring is my main fling.

Warmer weather just puts me in a happier mood and allows me to pull out all of my favorite bright colors, sleeveless dresses, and open toed shoes. I tend to wear a lot of black and white in winter, but spring is a whole other story! My closet is a plethora of yellows, pinks, blues, purples, and greens.

With spring on my mind I ventured over to Thrift Town to see what I could find for this spring inspired post. I wasn’t so successful in finding my beloved dress, but I did find some wonderfully spring inspired accessories and a beautiful floral silk blouse.

Spring always makes me think of flowers and how fitting are these fun vintage earrings?! ($2.99 Thrift Town)

To continue with my flower theme I searched high and low to find something else floral-esque. With a little help from the thrifting gods, I stumbled upon this gorgeous silk Cabi Kimono style blouse. A beautiful blouse deserves to be paired with a cute pair of skinny jeans (Gap, $5.99, Thrift Town) and fabulous open toed shoes.

Tis the season to start showing off your freshly polished toes again, too! These Enzo Angiolini heels had never been worn and perfect for spring. This is why I adore Thrift Town, you can find high end designer pieces for next to nothing prices ~ like these beautiful heels here.

As you start thinking about your spring looks, remember to embrace color and add some fun spring elements like flowers to your look book. A good pair of skinny jeans can be dressed up or down and you can’t go wrong with a classic open toed heel!

If you have any thrifting questions, please feel free to ask away!

Unitl next time…
