A MATERNITY HAUL: GREY SCORE UNDER $40

CHEAP // AFFORDABLE.

We’ve all done it. Been sucked in by a sale rack at department stores with super trendy pieces for pennies… Let me tell you, there’s a BIG difference between “Cheap clothes” and “affordable clothes”.

Cheap clothes fade and fall apart the first couple times you wear & wash them. Then there’s the clothes I find at Thrift Town: affordable quality. I end up spending less on a secondhand well-made name-brand piece than I would have spent on something “cheap” and new.

This comes in handy in this grey area of pregnancy. I have great wardrobe staples and classic pieces that I bought at Thrift Town 6-7 years ago that are still in awesome shape. So buying a “temporary wardrobe” is strange for me, since I don’t do the whole disposable fashion thing. The trick is to find pieces that will still work with my style after baby, but if not, knowing that they didn’t break the bank in the first place.

It turned out that the color palette of the pieces I found and loved in this preggo clothes quest happened to match the theme of the clothing conundrum:

GREY AREA.

$1.99 and SO comfy!

This piece is lined with amazing fluffy-ness, and fit perfectly over the baby bump.
Perfect for upcoming trip to Tahoe in the snow!
Like-new name-brand sweatshirt: $5.99

This isn’t even everything I got on this trip!
Everything here, plus 5-6 more tanks/ simple long stretchy tops, all for $39.47

A few highlights:
— Kelly Green like-new wool pea coat (center): $4.99
— Grey hooded structured sweat-jacket (top right corner): $3.99
— NEW black fringe purse (top left corner): $7.99
