Mommy Moments DIY Valentine Mailboxes
A few weeks ago I gushed in my Valentine Bandit blog post how much I love Valentine’s Day. And, I’m pretty much going to continue the gushing in this post as well. I have been wanting to make these adorable Valentine’s Day mailboxes I have seen on Pinterest for my kids for years. I finally found them at a local craft store for half off ($2.50 each!), and decided now was the time. I simply needed some sturdy candlesticks to attach them to, so I headed to Thrift Town.
I immediately found three great candlesticks to use as bases for this project upon entering Thrift Town’s amazing housewares department. I picked up all three of them for a total of $6.99.
I did my thing and revved up the color on the brown and pick stick.
I then used household gorilla glue to attach the mailboxes to the candlesticks, and am super excited with the outcome!
Each day I put a little love note, candy, or treat into my kid’s mailboxes, just spreading the love as much as possible the week of Valentine’s Day. Total project cost $15.00. How much love and joy they get out of opening their boxes each day; priceless!
