Mommy Moments The Valentine Bandit Strikes Again!

Valentine’s Day probably ranks in my top three most favorite holidays now that I’m a mom. I love showering my bambinos with love, and go all out decorating the house for the month of February as well as coordinating nightly visits to my kiddos as the Valentine Bandit.

The Valentine Bandit makes a visit to our house every night starting February 1st through February 14th. The bandit leaves a heart shaped note on their bedroom doors that states something that I love about them, and at times an inexpensive gift.

For thrifty Valentine’s Day gift ideas that are fun and under a buck, I head to Thrift Town. Below are a few examples of what types of things I shop for. Everyone loves a cuddle buddy to snuggle up to. Thrift Town has a ton of these for right around a buck each, most still with tags still attached.

I love these little heart cutouts I found on Pinterest. They make for fun decor, or card confetti. Pick up a book at Thrift Town for a buck, and cut away!

If you’re looking for a fun night in, or just in the mood for lovey movies all month long, check out Thrift Town’s movie section! Even if you buy 5 movies, it will still be cheaper than going to a matinee in the theaters!

For my hubby, I do a date jar using a thrifted mason jar or cookie jar. He gets to pick out of it for our weekly date. I got this idea off of Pinterest, and recreated it.

My kids have made this for my hubby for Valentine’s Day as well. Take a thrifted deck of cards; again for around a buck, and print out 52 reasons why you love that person. Put a hole punch or two in each card and secure them with some twine. It makes for an amazing and heart felt gift.

If the above don’t float your boat, there are hundreds of other thrifty Valentine’s Day gift ideas. Click here to check out Thrift Town’s Pinterest board for some inspiration!

Happy thrifting!
