New Year, New Projects!

Posted on by Hailey      2 Comments

Thrift town has all of the clothes and materials you need to start off a new year and new projects! I myself found an old lace curtain panel and turned it into a skirt.

Recycled Curtain Skirt

Step 1: Cut out a large square of fabric.

Step 2: Cut out a smaller square than the first.

Step 3: Lay the smaller square on top of the large square.

Step 4: Pinch the middle of the fabrics together.

Step 5: Cut out a waist-sized hole in the center of your fabric(s).

Step 6: Sew a waistband into the hole you’ve just cut.

Do your happiest dance in your recycled curtain skirt!

After I finished my skirt, I had some lace left over. I don’t like to waste nice fabrics, so I sewed what I had left over into the side of an old shirt that I no longer wore.

Lace Inlay Tank

Step 1: Choose a tanktop.

Step 2: Make a cut on the side of the shirt, preferably on a seam, stop just below the armpit.

Step 3: Cut a triangle of fabric to your desired width and sew it into the side of your shirt.

Step 4: Go on adventures in your lace inlay tank!

I hope that you guys enjoyed my blog!
