Corralling that Under-Sink Clutter
Ugh! Who doesn’t hate the under-the-sink mess of cleaning supplies, rags, and what-in-the-world-is-causing-that-funky-smell and WHEN DID WE RUN OUT OF DISH SOAP?? I’m a relatively tidy and organized person but hated how that cabinet looked and couldn’t make room for one of those slick cleaning caddies that look so wonderful in the pictures.
An easy and thrifty way to corral that under-the-sink clutter is to hang all your cleaning supplies in squirt bottles from an expandable curtain rod. You might even have room for that great cleaning caddy!
(Cool caddy that doesn’t live at my house)
On a recent trip to Thrift Town there were plenty of 99¢ expandable curtain rods to choose from. After pulling everything out from under the sink – a good excuse for a needed wipe down – I installed the rod up fairly high after drilling two holes in both ends of the rod.
A few minutes with the drill, four screws, and viola! A rod to hold squirt bottles, drape cleaning cloths over, even hang a basket to hold scrubbies keeping them high and dry!
