Mommy Moments; BLING!
It’s a common mommy theory (HOPE) that the more you accessorize, the more attention will be drawn to your bling and away from other common mommy words that start with the letter “b” (bum, bags under eyes, etc.). However, most mommy bank accounts (another “b” word!) don’t allow for grand jewelry indulgences all the time, so I wanted to see what type of thrifty bling I could find at Thrift Town, giving mommies on a budget a great go-to option when searching for the perfect accessory.
I headed to Thrift Town in Sacramento on El Camino. I normally shop this store right after my Thrifty Thursday spot on Good Day Sacramento due to the close proximity of the station. Their jewelry counter is always well organized and displayed, and the crew that staff it appear to have the patience of saints as they wait for their customer(s) to decide on jewelry pieces (myself included). Today, the jewelry counter did not disappoint, as I found a ton of beautiful and thrifty options.
I first checked out the bracelet inventory. I love bracelets, and Thrift Town always seems to have a great selection. Here’s some that I purchased and used on my Thrifty Thursday Bling segment on Good Day Sacramento. Prices range from $1.49-$4.99. Great deals!
Next to the bracelets were the watches. Makes sense as for the most part they both reside on wrists. I was impressed with Thrift Town’s selection of watches. They had everything from good options for kids, dress up or everyday watches for adults, and even some athletic training watches, all for incredibly low prices. The most expensive one of the bunch here topped out at $7.99.
I moved onto necklaces. Necklaces can dress up anything; even an old t-shirt with baby spit up stains as I fondly remember from when my bambinos were really little. Here’s the selection I showcased on Good Day Sacramento. All pieces were priced between $2.99-$5.99.
This brings up a good point. Thrift Town has many dazzling vintage pieces available at any given time. Check out the items I used on the segment that I found just on this one day shopping at Thrift Town. A beautiful beaded collar, lapel pins, and a gorgeous turquoise necklace. True vintage pieces are going to cost a bit more. I found these items ranging from $9.99-$19.99.
Finally, this last piece of ba-bling ba-bling caught my eye! It’s not a real diamond, but I don’t care, it still sparkles and makes me smile, especially since it only cost $3.99!
