PEACHY KEEN. pre-fall outfit ideas.

It’s not summer anymore, but it’s not fall weather yet. So short sleeves are in order, but a little less of the breezy flowy dresses, and a bit more structure. But who needs drab colors going into fall? Not me. And when I need a fresh infusion of color and fun to get me over the summer-ending blues, Thrift Town is the best spot for a fashion fix without killing my wallet.

These heels were $2.99 at Thrift Town. These shoes are also my cold-weather staple. As a business woman, heels are my secret weapon: I feel more powerful when I wear them… Also, at 5’3, every little bit helps. This pair in particular gives me the height, and are neutral for business looks, but still have a lot of personality. Like sassy black business oxfords for women

When I pick a top at Thrift Town, I’m always looking for something that has something special: great color or little details, but always, needs to fit and hang great. This top was a perfect fit on all fronts. My beloved ‘watermelon blouse’ was just the pop of colorful cheer this outfit needed. These shades are not just for summer - you can layer lightweight neutral colored cardigans or a simple jacket over warmer weather tops, and still enjoy their smile-inducing colors. {$1.99 at Thrift Town}

A rosette pin off of a different Thrift Town blouse is perfect for making a bit of lace into a bracelet. Echoes the dotted pattern in the top, but adds some fun.

When putting together a look, think BALANCE. So with skinny fitted jeans, go for a blousy-er silhouette on top to balance it out. I’m so SO excited for fall and all of the scarves, boots and jackets. But until then, have fun with your post-summer, pre-fall outfits. Mix, match, and make it your own.
