Secondhand Vintage for Fall

Media goes Retro

Social Media can be overwhelming at times, especially if you are attempting to run social media for a business. Seems like every day there’s a new network that everyone’s on, and you should be to if you don’t want to get left behind. Then there’s the “experts” who tell everyone the right and wrong ways to do each platform. We think we do a pretty good job at the social media thing, but with all the do’s and don’ts aside, we just want to connect with you as our customers on a real level - plain and simple. We want to hear your stories, reward you as VIP’s, and keep you in the loop.

If it weren’t for you, we wouldn’t be able to do what we do, and serve the communities we do. You are not just a consumer, you are a unique individual who enjoy our unique merchandise in your own way.

One of our favorite things about social media is getting to see what our customers pick out, and show off to their friends! Oftentimes it could be a piece that has been overlooked by many that day, and when the right person comes along, it’s like finding wardrobe gold. As we barrel along through the seasons into fall wardrobes, we thought we’d share a little bit of inspiration from a Thrift Town customer who is definitely in touch with her sense of style. Who knows, maybe you’ve got a little vintage streak coming on…

VA-VA-Vintage.

California blogger/stylist Coco has such stylish vintage taste,
and recently showed off a few Thrift Town finds on her blog, Fancy Drew:

This is miss Coco. She’s getting ready to head back to Southern California
(where there are no Thrift Town stores), so she decided to dress up and stock up before her trip.

Perfectly, comfortably chic. This is what she wore to go thrifting…
Sometimes it takes putting yourself in the right frame of mind, and when you go through the racks,
you are able to feel the possibilities in the pieces you find.

She found this adorable fur-trimmed cropped sweater, and high-waisted burgundy slacks.
Coco has DIY plans for the shoes: they will soon be two-toned and looking quite Oxford-ish.

For the vintage girly bookworm look, add in a pair of glasses like Coco’s by perusing our Thrift Town racks for vintage frames. Take them in to any eyeglass shop to have them fitted with clear glass, then just throw them on with anything to give your look a little smarty-pants flair.
